Guu Izakaya

I went to Guu Izakaya in Toronto for dinner last week. It is a Japanese restaurant that serves Izakaya food. The restaurant is more famous for the fun, loud, bustling, and exciting atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself and the food!

Atmosphere at Guu is very loud and energetic! You can't have a conversation here. This restaurant is for having a good time!

I love the lights inside!

Guu Izakaya - Birthday Party!

There was a birthday happening as you can see. Many of the tables are 'communal' so you might be seated with strangers. It promotes conversation with new people! I sat at the bar so I was primarily facing the chefs.

This is what I saw most of the time while eating my food. Chefs super excited about cooking your meals! So energetic! So happy!

Lots of singing and shouting! Whenever there is a birthday song, they go wild!

We went to the Toronto location on Church Street. Here is a link to the menu to get an idea of what kind of food they serve. It is very different from the usual Japanese restaurant. Lots of deep fried stuff, but the grilled stuff looked very good too. I want to try some of the grilled offerings the next time I go.

Overall, I give it A++++!!!
